Dava CasoniDava Casoni, Principal
Dava Casoni earned her undergraduate degrees from Boston University on a U.S. Army R.O.T.C. scholarship. Graduating with a B.A. (Political Science) and B.S. (Management), she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and attended U.S. Army Transportation Officer Basic Course at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Following her basic course, Ms. Casoni went on to Cornell Law School and earned a J.D. and LL.M. in international and comparative law, having spent a summer studying international law at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Ms. Casoni began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable James T. Turner, of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Following her tenure on the Court, Ms. Casoni was first associated with Bingham McCutchen in their business department, next with Pillsbury Law’s corporate securities group and most recently with Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy’s Global Project Finance group. Ms. Casoni’s practice at these three global firms covered a variety of matters including initial public offerings, bank and venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, project finance transactions, general corporate and securities matters. In addition, she taught entertainment law to budding film producers at American University.

She is admitted to practice law in California, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C.

Annie Lin, Consultant
Annie Lin holds a B.A. in English from Rice University and a J.D. from the University of Houston, where she was recognized by the Institute of Intellectual Property & Information for her published work on fair use.

As the Director of Creative Licensing at The Orchard, Annie was instrumental in building, launching and leading the company’s synchronization licensing unit. Her experience also includes work with Cherry Lane Music Publishing, Ticketmaster/Citysearch, the Texas civil courts and The Rights Workshop.

Annie has placed music in numerous films, television shows, advertisements and web productions. Additionally, she is credited for work in music supervision and licensing on films including Half-Life (Fade To Blue Productions), Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead (20th Century Fox Home Entertainment) and Down The Barrel (ESPN Original Entertainment). She has lectured and spoken on panels for the Producer’s Guild of America, SXSW, BMI, CMJ and the New York Television Festival.
